Canbury Bandstand Concerts
The ever-popular series of Sunday concerts are on again in Canbury Gardens, mid-May to September from 3 to 5pm. A varied programme – brass, rock, folk, the lot!
Our audiences can be several hundred and include toddlers, families, elderly in wheelchairs: these concerts are very popular with the people of Kingston and beyond.
However the events rely entirely on a tiny band of volunteers. They need volunteer marshals to unlock gates, open up the bandstand, put out chairs and then close down at the end of each event. Can you give a couple of hours on one or more of these Sunday afternoons? (An hour before the concert starts and/or half an hour at the end.) You will be shown what to do by the lead marshal. Without you, we cannot do this.
